The beginning
From a small atelier in Casablanca
Salwa Mohammady began with a single caftan, sewn for her sister's wedding. It was not a business, it was a promise: that the piece would be made the way grandmothers made it, patiently, by a hand that does not hurry. From that caftan, Maison Salora was born.
The craft
Sfifa, randa, and time
Every sfifa is braided one thread at a time. Every aakad is tightened by hand. Hours that never show in the final photograph, but that you feel when you wear the piece. We do not shorten that time: that time is the piece.
Today
A heritage that does not stop in the past
The jean and the blazer do not betray the caftan. They extend it. The woman who wears a caftan to a wedding is the same one who wears jeans on Monday — and the House follows her on both days.
